IR procedures are unique in being able to provide treatment options for a variety of benign and cancerous conditions. Over and above general IR procedures, my areas of special interest focus on minimally invasive curative and palliative treatments for cancer patients, called as Interventional Oncology (IO). I have trained to treat cancers in the liver and kidneys among other body systems. I am also interested in providing various treatments that help to improve the quality of life, of palliative patients.
These complex procedures require detailed discussions with patients, and I endeavour to provide the ideal atmosphere to facilitate this discussion in my IR clinics.
Provision of high quality imaging reports for different imaging techniques like x-rays, ultrasound, CT and MRI for variety of conditions is part of the services provided.
My special interests are reporting imaging in conditions affecting the liver, kidneys and neuroendocrine disease. This expertise has been developed over years of reporting these scans and participating in relevant multidisciplinary meetings with other clinicians.
I am also specialised in reporting imaging for diseases affecting the blood vessels.
A clinic is the ideal place to allow adequate discussion of IR treatment options in an outpatient setting. While I recommend that you meet with myself face-to-face in IR clinic to discuss all your options, in the current environment, remote consultations are also being offered.
I frequently collaborate with clinicians from other specialty including liver surgery, liver medicine, general surgery, vascular surgery and urology. These collaborations are with like minded specialists who are experts in their fields and clinicians who I would trust to treat me if required.
